New: Explore Oku, Highlights feature preview & 25% off all plans!
It’s about time for another newsletter! We’ve been up to quite a bit since the last one, including a team getaway to Barcelona. After the remote work-week we took towards the start of the year we were keen to do it in person, so the three of us took some time off from our day jobs and met up in Spain to hash out some thinking about the future of Oku and build with some focus! Here’s what we’ve been up to:
Explore Oku
With discoverability in mind, we replaced the old search page with a new Explore page! Here you can get a better grasp of what’s happening on Oku: what your friends are reading, the latest reviews & the most recommended books from the past two weeks.
Take a look for yourself: https://oku.club/explore
We’re not finished with Explore yet, so keep an eye out for more updates soon and let us know what you’d like to see on there!
Discover collections including this book
Still on the theme of discoverability, now you’ll find links to public collections which include a book directly on that book’s page.
25% off for Black Friday 🎁
We’re running a Black Friday deal until the end of the month!
New subscribers can get a 25% discount on any Oku subscription by applying the BOOKFRIDAY coupon during checkout.
Redeem before Dec 1 and you’ll be ready for the next premium feature which we’re finishing up at the moment 👀
Coming soon: Highlights!
Highlights is Oku’s latest premium feature in the works. You’ll be able to save your favourite passages from the books you read which you can then be shared on your profile and discovered on individual book pages. We’re finishing up the some pieces now and soon we’ll be previewing the feature for members on the Supporter tier as we build out the rest.
Coming eventually: iOS app!
We’re working on getting Oku into the iOS App Store! We’ve got some tweaks to make off the back of our first rejection which we’ll look at once Highlights is taking less of our attention, so watch this space.
Thanks for reading
As always, thanks for taking the time if you made it this far. You can always follow us on Twitter or Facebook for more updates but if not, we hope to see you on Oku 😉
