New: Highlights, Explore Collections & Member Survey

It’s been a little over two months since we were last in your inbox and the three of us here are eager to show you what we’ve been working on since! So let’s get on with it:

Highlights are out!

You may have started spotting highlights other members have made when you’re browsing books or profiles. Starting recently, Premium members can use their phones to snap highlights from the books they’re reading directly into Oku to share with friends or just to keep for themselves. (Private highlights landing soon!)

Not to leave out our free members, everybody is able to save existing highlights to their own accounts, so you can still curate your favourite quotes and display them on your profile.

We’re looking forward to further integrating highlights into the rest of Oku as time goes by. We’re also super keen on supporting e-readers as much as we can, but to do that we need to know which devices you all use, so please take a look at the survey below!

We’ve put together a 2-minute survey that will give us some insight into how best to build Oku going forward. You’d be doing us a massive favour if you fill it out, and there’s a discount code up for grabs at the end for those of you that do! ❤️

Stats on your dashboard

We’ve added a handy little module onto the dashboard itself so our Premium and Supporter members will no longer have to go to their own profile to get a glimpse at their stats.

Profile layout tweaks

Things remain largely the same but we’ve condensed the header and made things a bit tighter, with some slightly more drastic future changes bouncing around right now.

iOS app progress…

We’re waiting on Apple’s App Store processes which are right now blocking us from making changes we need to pass the App Store review. Needless to say, we’ll be aiming to get that into your hands as soon as we can!
