Oku's getting friendlier
Updates this time include social improvements and reviews in your feed!
Summer’s coming to an end for us in the northern hemisphere and even though we’ve not been in your inbox we’ve been working away at things behind the scenes. Here are some of the highlights:
Oku’s getting friendlier
Friend’s activity in Home
We’ve given you more visibility into what your friends are reading by adding a new module into the Home section. Anybody you’re following will appear when they’re reading a new book, so add your friends and check it out!
Refer your friends and earn rewards!
Oku has had an invite system since the start of our beta version but we’ve recently revamped it since we’re no longer invite-only. Members can now copy their invite code, and if three people use it to sign up we’ll reward the account with a month of Oku Premium!
Search for other members
A new tab on the search page while let you search for other members who’ve got their profiles set to public. Thanks to all who requested this!
That’s all the changes we’ve made recently with regards to friends. We’re interested in adding more light social elements and improving the current experience, so please don’t be shy with any feedback you have!
Book reviews in the feed
Reviews have been missing from the feed since we launched them, but no more! It’s great to finally shine a bit more light on our reviews, and we’re planning to do more of it!
Follow Oku
As ever you can follow @okuclub on Twitter but we now have a Facebook page where we’ll also be posting updates if that’s where you’d prefer to stay in touch.
We’ll be back in your inbox when we’ve got more bits to show you.
Until then, happy reading!
